I've been using Linux since the mid-90's and have been working for Red Hat since 2000. I got interested in "low latency" Linux back around 2002 and played with Robert Love's PREEMPT patch and Ingo Molnar's Low-Latency patch. In 2007 Red Hat made me the lead engineer for their Realtime Linux product, a position I still hold.
