My formal background is Engineering Cybernetics with a focus on Real-Time embedded systems. Linux has always been a field of interest of mine, and after messing around with a rate-based scheduler for the kernel, I worked with web-development using PHP and MySQL for a while, mostly security related (yeah, that's an oxymoron if there ever was one).
My current occupation consists of tuning an embedded system to achieve real-time behavior. This pretty much boils down to staring at traces and scratching my head all day long. Pretty much the best job anyone can have :)
